DOORS OPEN FOCUSLABS
HUMAN CAPITAL
IN TURBULENT TIMES
We are living in a VUCA world: a world that is changing rapidly (Volatile), offers little certainty, (Uncertain), consists of different intermingled layers (Complex) and is not always as clear (Ambiguous). This world, full of globalization, technology, cultural changes and the need for ethics and meaning, requires a new perspective on (personal) leadership, the structure of organizations and human capital.
Doors Open takes you into this new perspective in a brand new and unique program. We will kick off this fall with three FocusLabs: inspiring, innovative and practical meetings, in which you are stimulated in powerful 3-hour sessions by experienced speakers and trainers to think about your field of expertise, how you can get the best out of yourself, your team and your organization in turbulent times and how to shape human capital in the 21st century.
After each FocusLab, there is time to network in an informal way while enjoying a snack and a drink.

In this Doors Open Online FocusLab, performance management expert Ania Colle will share with you the insights, learning and challenges that she gained whilst leading the transformation of employee performance management at large corporations. This journey involved shifting management’s mindset from judging and scoring employees towards a focus on coaching and feedback to enhance performance.
The Focus Lab will also provide you with the opportunity to share your own knowledge on this topic. Ania will invite you to stretch your imagination and to explore the key challenges facing organisations when it comes to managing human performance, now and in the future.
The value of complexity in organizational change, leadership and talent development
In this interactive masterclass, given by Friso Landstra, you will learn all about the power of complexity. Using practical examples and scientific insights, Friso shows you how complexity helps you to go beyond existing frameworks and how the different perspectives that are present within your company can be the key to the success of your organization.
You will learn to look at complex issues within your organization in a different way and we challenge you to consciously increase the complexity of those issues even more. By stepping outside your existing frame of mind you can come up with innovative solutions and you will be inspired about how you can get the best out of yourself, your team and your organization and how you can better align your product or service with the market.
Take control in your own hands
The world around us is changing faster than ever before. That can be frightening, insecure and stressful, but it also offers great opportunities. A job used to be primarily intended to bring home the bacon, but in the 21st century we have more space than ever to develop ourselves both inside and outside of work and to think about “what is important to me, what gives me energy?” And “how do I get the best out of myself and/or the people around me?” Personal leadership enables you to bridge the gap between potential and performance and to always be in control, regardless of the environment or situation where you are.
How to create an inclusive organizational culture?
The image of the workforce has completely changed in the past 20 years. Employees no longer want to pursue a linear career and stay with the same employer for 25 years, millennials are looking for a challenge (“my job is more than a salary slip”), women take on different roles and the diversity of cultures in society and therefore also of customers and markets forces you as an organization to take into account different voices and backgrounds. But how do you make diversity and inclusion truly work?
Whether you are an experienced HR Business Partner, have just started as a diversity consultant, work as a manager or CEO, Doors Open FocusLabs take you to the next level. At the end of a FocusLab you go home with inspiration, strategic and tactical insights, inspiration, action points that you can use immediately within your organization and new valuable contacts from people who work just like you on making human capital and organizations future proof.
